At PÁTIO, our 30 horses thrive in a natural herd with green meadows and a spacious padocks. With 5 years, they begin their trail journey, raised to be calm and balanced, contributing to a peaceful riding experience.

Horse riders and nature lovers gather at PÁTIO, home to our Lusitano and Cruzado horses in beautiful meadows. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic, hills, and Pico volcano, plus nearby São Jorge and Graciosa islands. Join us for horse adventures year-round.
Lusitano-Trail (Beginner or Restarter).
Easy Trail. Only in walking horse gait. Trough the green meadows to the wild cliffs of the north coast.

The Horse Equipment.
The Saddle.
Our main equipment is the Trail-Saddle. We use the First Class Trekker-Saddle from Prestige, an Italian saddlery. It offers unmatched seating, safety, and fit. Each saddle comes with a Prestige saddle bag for your personal items and tension belts for your coat.
The Snaffles.
Depending on the experience of the trail horse we use different snaffles. The most common is the jumping curb or double broken snaffles.
The Riding Helmet.
We always ask you to wear a riding helmet. We are providing a choice of different helmets in different sizes. Best is always to bring your own helmet that you are used to wear.
